Welding of Carbon Steel applications which need a basic coated low Hydrogen weld metal with low temperature impact toughness properties with a good appeal to the welder in terms of ease of welding, high deposition rate, weldability can benefit by Hobart 18-1 electrode. This electrode conforms to ASME BPVC Section II part C SFA 5.1 AWS E7018-1 and can be used for steels with UTS up to 490 N/mm2 and impact toughness up to -46°C.
