P62MR electrode conforms to ASME BPVC Section II part C SFA 5.5 AWS E7018-G classification. The electrode produces ~0.9% Nickel weld metal for excellent impact toughness up to -60°C CVN and -10°C CTOD compliance. High performance, low hydrogen weld metal, good arc starting and stability, excellent wetting action, easy to remove slag, all-position welding capability, very low smoke and spatter levels, ability to use in “As Welded” and PWHTed (1 hr soak at 620°C) are characteristics of this electrode. Root pass of pipe/plate welding, and fill & cap pass welding of pipes/plates are potential use of this electrode. Offshore, pressure vessels, piping, pipelines, tanks, structural steel, construction, and shipbuilding are application segments.
